The My World program creates a safe space for American born, Immigrant and Refugee teens, 8th-11th grade, from around Metro Atlanta to learn about themselves, each other, their community and the world. In response to an increasingly interconnected world we created a program that would provide youth the skills to successfully navigate life in the 21st century.
We empower students with knowledge, connections and resources to make a difference in their world.
January through May of each year,
- teens meet twice a month to build leadership skills for the 21st Century
- explore local museums and cultural institutions
- engage in community service
- participate in a week long travel experience outside of GA during Spring Break
If you are looking for your child or student to have increased confidence in themselves, their ability to think critically and effectively communicate while working with others, the My World Program is just for them! Teens will also increase their cultural understanding and knowledge of their local community in addition to gaining exposure to local, national and international opportunities.
Applications are accepted each September and October. If your child or student has demonstrated leadership potential, inquisitiveness, maturity, and commitment to their community, please encourage them to
